GED®

According to Illinois School Code, the responsibility of administering the General Educational Development
(GED®) Testing Program is entrusted to the Regional Superintendent's Office. This is a series of five (5) tests covering Social Studies, Science, Language Arts (writing), Language Arts (reading) and Math, plus the Illinois and United States Constitutions. Passing this series of tests entitles registrants (17 years of age or older without a high school diploma) to receive a high school equivalency certificate.

We are also custodians of GED® records for individuals who tested in Will County as well as Joliet Job corps and all Will County Correctional Centers.

To register for the GED®, YOU MUST COME TO THE REGIONAL OFFICE OF EDUCATION IN PERSON. WE ARE LOCATED AT:

702 W. MAPLE ST.
NEW LENOX, IL 60451

TO REGISTER, YOU WILL NEED:

  • A valid Illinois Driver's License, Illinois State Identification Card, or Matricula Consular Card with your correct current Will County address.
